The Challenge:

We’re calling on South Africa’s boldest visual artists and designers to create an artwork or design for the Primal Still Vodka bottle label. This is your chance to have your art or design take centre stage — not on a gallery wall, but in the hands of vodka lovers nationwide.

How to Enter:

  1. Click on Apply Now and complete the application form.

  2. You are allowed to submit up to 4 designs.

  3. A curated selection committee of art and design professionals will review all submissions and select onewinner and three runners up whose work best captures creativity, craftsmanship, and connection.

The Winner’s will receive:

  • Your design featured on a limited-edition Primal Still Vodka bottle. The ⁠Artist will be credited on the bottle label and promotional materials

  • Recognition across Contra.Joburg and Primal platforms.

  • An exhibition of your original artwork or design at the Primal Head Office in August 2026.

  • A cash prize of R6,000

  • Exclusive feature during Contra.Joburg 2026

  • ⁠Be invited to a private distillery tour and curated tasting experience with the Primal team, offering insight into the grain-to-glass process and craft behind the spirits.

The 1st runner up will receive:

  • Recognition across Contra.Joburg and Primal platforms.

  • An exhibition of your original artwork or design at the Primal Head Office in August 2026.

  • A cash prize of R3,000

  • Exclusive feature during Contra.Joburg 2026

  • ⁠Be invited to a private distillery tour and curated tasting experience with the Primal team, offering insight into the grain-to-glass process and craft behind the spirits.

The 2nd runner up will receive:

  • Recognition across Contra.Joburg and Primal platforms.

  • An exhibition of your original artwork or design at the Primal Head Office in August 2026.

  • A cash prize of R1000

  • Exclusive feature during Contra.Joburg 2026
